Bamboo

Bamboo is a collective name for a group of grasses that grow in tropical, subtropical and temperate regions of Asia and America. Most species are not deciduous ligneous (woody plants). The bamboo is characterized by its leaves are petiole in contrast to other grasses that lack them. The strong, lightweight and flexible stem are characteristic, and has many uses. They are used for houses, rafts, bamboo tiki torches, bridges, musical instruments, tiki bars and more. Bamboo is fast growing, individual shoots may be its final height in one season. The tender shoots of bamboo are also a common ingredient in Asian cuisine. For the endangered panda bamboo is almost their exclusive diet.
